from June 14th to September 6th, 2009
Entitled «Pier Paolo Pasolini - Qui je suis», the Centre's major summer exhibition for this year, running from June 14th to September 6th, promises to reveal the many-sided personality and oeuvre of the Italian filmmaker, writer and painter Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922-1975). He was as provocative and anti-establishment as he could be sensitive and endearing-contradictions that made such a complex and fascinating figure of him. The exhibition will unfold along the lines dictated by a primer drawn from Pasolini's autobiographical text Who is me, with an eye to acquainting viewers with the Pasolinian aesthetic outlook and, in a wider sense, with this Italian creator's teeming world.
Benefitting from a contemporary and entertaining layout design, the exhibition will highlight film excerpts, documentaries, paintings, photos and manuscripts.
